Drivability - ? EXEDY Triple Cerametallic Clutch Kit for Evo 9
Hi guys.
I am planning ahead, looking to upgrade to EFR8474 on Morrison Fab T4 TS manifold next year.
I will be in need of a new clutch when chasing down that 800whp mark.
Car has ACT Twinmod fitted with the organice plates which is rated for 750ftlb but doubt this is going to hold up eventhough we wont be making that much TQ.
Most used clutch at these power levels seem to be the Exedy Triple. Whats this like for a street to strip car ? Is it "okay" to drive in some traffic. Car will be used on weekends only and maybe 3-4 times a year on the drag strip.
Any specific model to look for or just go for the HD version of this ?

The triple is absolutely streetable but not ideal for a daily driver in my opinion. Exedy have a lot of different plate options depending on power level and usage but the HD should be sufficient. I'm surprised you wouldn't just keep your current setup it its holding.
