Ok so waiting to get my car back from the shop. They want me to put some miles on it for whatever reason and a few oil chances before they want to do dyno pulls. Ok so with that out of the way I have just a screen on my turbo for now. I wasn't planning on running a filter being the way the car is setup there is no room for it. After making some changes and rethinking some stuff now I have been thinking on putting a filter on it so salt (being I live in Michigan) and other particles possibly destroying the turbo. The screen that I have is made for the street but it will not filter out dirt and small particals etc.
So with that said I was thinking of possibly doing a 4" velocity stack, or possibly just putting a filter like a K&N or maybe a HKS mushroom filter off the turbo. I haven't thought about design much being I don't have the car in front of me, but what do you guys think. I do have -16 rad hose up top with a half rad. This I think will change being I may run a thinner Koyo rad but full size. This will help me with some room for a fan and I can have a pull fan instead of push fan. I know I have extra -16 fittings for the rad hose so I can change the way it looks to give me some room for some sort of intake or filter
My car currently has a JM fabs top mount with a Borg sitting on it. Not alot of room to change things and space is tight. What would you guys do? This isn't a great pic of how it is setup but here is an idea of what I am dealing with. It was like 0 degrees and it was rain and sleet that day so not much time to clean up the engine bay lol.
I would have to get like a 3 inch piece of pipe i would figure and put the filter on it that way being there isn't a whole lot of room. You dont like the idea of the velocity stack idea? Though about doing that with the same idea and put a filter on the end of it that way.
