I am trying to identify accurately Garrett 3076 turbo used with ETS kit from 2014, Single Scroll, with Tial Housing.
Could it be GTX3076 Gen 1, or Gen 2?
And what are benefits and/or downsides of using Tial housing?
Did this Garrett design evolve, into something more modern that is direct fit? If for example Gen 1, what is better about Gen 2?

I just learned it is GTX Gen 1 3076.

Does Gen 2 GTX 3076 improve spool or midrange torque?

 

The Gen2 is an upgraded compressor wheel, and yes they spool faster and flow more air.
