Evo IV KAAZ LSD makes center-diff open?
Looking into getting a front LSD for my evo, and noticed on KAAZ's website it states "If only the KAAZ front differential is installed, the center differential will become an open differential. For the best results, also use the KAAZ center differential"
Anyone know why this is? And if I were to only install the front LSD, what impact would this have on performance? Will the front wheels just spin under power?

looking at the diff pics (found them somewhere else, https://www.4turbo.pl/kaaz-metal-1-5...,3,51521,18230) it looks like the kaaz diff does not have the attachment for the central visco copupling that provides the "slip limitation" for the stock central diff.. I would look into another front diff... also, if you are building a street car or tarmac car, i would avoid 1.5 front LSD
Ahhh, that makes sense thank-you. And yeah I am building this car for street, but I have not been able to find any open front diffs online, people only seem to sell front LSDs for the Evo 4-6, and I'm not really looking to dump 3k into a new transfer case.
Some time ago while doing the big bolt upgrade on my transfer case, Jacks also installed an RS helical front diff. Again, some time ago, it was only like a $200 cost adder. Hugely worth it. I went from spinning the inside front hard mid-corner through exit, to just hooking.
