Evo 8 no spark, crank no start

Been trying to figure out this problem for a while. 2003 evo 8 no spark. Last time I drove it I noticed the dash lights were getting dim and bright like you turning the brightness up and down. I was on the highway driving around 60mph and the dash and all power cut out for like half a second to a second and then it would come back to life. This happend about 4 or 5 times while i was driving. I got it home and then after I shut it off it wouldn't start, just crank.
I swapped the coil packs from my other evo that runs, no luck. Replaced the cam angle sensor, still nothing.
thinking it could be the crank angle sensor but that was replaced about 5k miles ago when I put the motor in.
It's possible it failed, was gonna try and test the sensor and see how that goes and go from there.
was wondering if anyone had any input on what it could be or if anyone has encountered this same problem.
Also replaced the alternator a few hundred miles ago, not sure that matters.

well check all grounds and power cable, probably touched during the alternator install. check that power cable going into the fuse box in the engine bay.
the last time i had a no-start problem, my timing belt skipped. it was a PITA

gonna continue to run through all the grounds until the crank angle sensor arrives, did a few wire repairs and fixed a couple grounds but still nothing. Gonna keep searching!

The underhood fuse box was relocated to the passenger foot well, who ever had the car before me did a interesting wire tuck. Could easily see it being something down there. Looks like the power cable that goes to the fuse box is a little blue from corrosion but there is no fuzz just slight color discoloration.

Check the #1 fuse in the fuse box on the driver's side, inside the car. It's a 10 amp in the upper left corner.

just checked the number one fuse on the driver's side fuse box. Its all good. It did have a 15amp instead of a 10amp fuse tho.
any other ideas?
Thanks !

Hmmmmm…well, it certainly sounds like a failed crank sensor. Are you also getting no fuel? A failed crank sensor will also keep the injectors from pulsing.

Have you checked for continuity on the wires from the crank sensor to the ECU to rule out a broken wire?

When i crank it i dont smell gas, gonna pull the plugs and see if they are wet and inspect the sensor. Hopefully it's just the sensor so I don't need to go through the harness
