APS Twin Vent BOV cleaning

Hey guys -- i noticed my BOV seems a bit crusty (although it doesn't flutter...yet) I'm just scared of taking it apart and finding a nightmare inside! Anything I should aware of before I take it apart to find out if there's any carnage?

i think i found my boost leak...it is hella HELLA stuck in the partial open position.

*** Update

Cleaned it up. Fairly easy design. Just four allen bolts and the piston comes out (with some force from all the corrosion) but thankfully the walls are not scored. The piston is made out of copper. A little degreaser and PB blaster help to get it all out. And then it was just cleaning. I used DuPont Non-stick dry-film lubricant for the reassembly. I also adjusted the top screw so that it doesn't vent to atmosphere so much (since i'm running a MAF) just to be conservative. I found these APS units are discontinued (and kind of rare actually) so glad I was able to save this one!

All in all just glad I didn't have fork out some crazy dollars to buy a new or OEM one.
