Sup Hugo,
Go with 10-40w or 15-50w, the engine oil gets extremely hot and thin when on a track day. Good luck! Its the most fun you'll have!

Motul 15W-50. Nothing less goes into my engine.

If I don't track my car I could care less what oil goes in as long as it's full synthetic.

mobil1 0/40 or 10/30.

We have had better wear with 0/40 vs 0/30 @ 135C oil in temps. We never lost an engine due to high oil temps either when running mobil 1.

You will sleep better knowing that you have mobil 1 in your sump.

Mobil 1 has made the most power for us, when comparing off the shelf synthetic oils, over quaker state, shell, royal purple.

Can you post/link to those oil analysis? My fear of M1 is that it is already on the thin side of the range.

And with the 0w-40 long-term viscosity testing showing that it shears then thickens (by oxidation) that doesn't sound good for protecting engines or turbos.

I do like amsoil. They really pushed the envelope of oil engineering when they started. When everyone was thinking synthetics would have no place in cars, Joe said they would.

HOWEVER.

I don't like when people pitch the products without backing them up. Unfortunately, i see Amsoil Corp. as doing this on a big scale.

Amsoil makes one of the few non-kart oriented synthetic 2-stroke oils. They make a WIDE range of lubricants.

And i'm sure i sound like a broken record to those who have read my posts before, but what exactly should we look at in amsoil? The amount of marketers on the internet? Or something about the boron chemistry and basestocks (in which case where would i find those?)
