what oil to use for track day?

Hey JFawns, i just put some wd-40 in my engine as u suggest, then when for a test drive, my engine blow up on me, any though??

I'd have to say this is my top choice for over-the-counter synthetics. It is essentially relabeled Mobil Delvac 1, the higly regarded diesel/fleet lube.

Instead of being 100% polyalphaolefin basestock, like the rest of the Mobil 1 line, it has PAO and Esters along with a healthy dose of boron anti-wear and extreme pressure additive. More expensive and trick than the molybdenum in most oils.

But you have to be on the west-coast or in Canada to get it at normal stores. East coasters can find it at a lot of farm and fleet stores, but out west we have it at Kragen.

I found it @ WalMart... BTW it is not labled Del Vac. It is endorsed by Nascar.
