Mishimoto oil-FAIL-cooler

Just got the cooler(s) about a week ago, was pretty busy with work and stuff, installed it with a lil fitment problems but bottom line was ok, drove the once about 18 miles trip ea way, not racing not tracking not dragging, just a normal drive, parked the car back in the garage, next day started the car afternoon to take it for a spin after about 20 sec after cold start the side of the car with the cooler start leaking oil badly.....

next step was removing bumper, cooler, etc etc

what do u think guys? and what should i do ?

i know lifetime warranty, but oil, labor, all the mess......

Thx,
Serg

If it had been just a row separation, I'd say get it replaced but that thing failed catastrophically! Either you have crazy high cold oil pressure for some reason or there was a bad batch of oil coolers! There are other people out there running them without issue so I'm thinking you just got unlucky. If you're a little gunshy about using another (I wouldn't blame you) take a look at Tru-Cool coolers. They're a very well respected brand and quite affordable too. Just don't know if the dimensions/fittings will be an easy interchange for the Evo.

WOW. I'd send it back. Get a refund and either throw the stock one back on or get a different brand. But that's me....

Why is it all bent up? It looks like it was installed incorrectly, as in the cooler was bent/pulled to align with the brackets, instead of bending the brackets to line up with the cooler.

the brackets r CNCed and was perfectly line up with coolers, but looks like the cooler explode and whenever i removed the damaged cooler it wasn't lined up, so trust me the installation was correct
