Hi Guys, I did the install yesterday. This is the shifter made by Prototype_fab...

Thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=71082

Anyhow, this shifter is great. I did the 8 piece metal shifter bushing kit as well...and really guys, when he (Cesar) says it is 70%...it is 70%. The only thing I think I am going to look into down the road is a taller shift knob. Not that this doesn't sit to low...reminds me actually of the 350z's shifter...but we'll see. I haven't spent a ton in the car with the shifter...but it seems like it feels a lot more solid going from gear to gear. I am installing the 2 piece under hood bushings today and I will post more reviews as a get used to it more and break it in!!

Customer service was awesome! Cesar helped me through the install and in turned out great! Total...probably took me 2 hrs...or a little less if I didn't spend time finding tools...and I had to take my time also in triming the stock shifter box with a drimmel tool. All in all, I am very happy with my choice....

If anyone has more questions...feel free to ask me anytime.

Clint

Thanks again Cesar!

How are the syncros going to like this?

(I don't know anything about the strength of the stock syncros.)

Good question...
Before I installed the shifter I was having the once in a while 1-2nd grind in WOT shifts...

with this shifter...even though it is a day...not a problem. I know I may just imagining things here...but this shifter makes your shifts stiffer...

I will post more reviews as time goes on and what I experience.

Thanks for the comments!

I noticed the 1st to 2nd gear shifts at higher RPMs to be easier after I installed the LS 2 piece under-hood bushing kit.

That being said, nothing is a cure-all. I still accidentally grind, just no where near as often as before the SS, 2pc and 8pc bushings.
Just have to be careful and give it that extra fraction of a second to get in gear...

Can you take pics of it installed? There's only 1 small one from the previous thread.
