Besides the clutch what is the weakest link on the EVO?
Besides the clutch what else is a weak link on the EVO?
I've heard the stock ECU is also somewhat of a weak link. Is this true? What cheap aftermarket parts can I purchase to correct that problem? Also is an EBC really worth it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The stock ECU isn't a weak link on the Evo... maybe you have it confused with the STi. They had problems with detonation, and their aftermarket isn't nearly as sizeable or forgiving due to the necessity for stand-alone engine management to work around the overly complicated Subaru ECU.
Really, other than the clutch the Evo is a seriously solid car. If you are a drag racer, and have installed a very unsympathetic clutch like I did in my black Evo - beware dumping it at 7k rpm. You'll find out how fast a transfer case will grenade.
These cars are unreal solid.
EDITED TO ADD:
I just remembered, Al said something about the rod bolts looking a little under par - but as far as I know, I haven't heard of any failing. Was just an observation of his, and a "might as well adress it while the engine is out" kinda thing.
A couple people reported head-gasket failure near the #4 cylinder, with a theorized cause of wimpy head bolts. Replacing them with ARP head studs is a cheap insurance thing to do. Once again, probably not necessary for you - but if you're all about building it up strong, more power to ya.
