Question 1st Oil Refresh?

@ what mileage is the concensus for the first oil/filter change? I'm a believer in letting the motor break in for ring seat. Too early is not a good thing. Any responses? Im only at 1k.

Changed mine at 517 miles. It's already synthetic from the factory so the earlier you get the metal shavings out the better, IMO.

The micro metal particles should be in the filter, not in the engine. I'm going to change mine soon before 2k.Does the Evo have a magnetic drainplug?

No, on the magnetic drain plug.

I doubt you are going to find a concensus on when the first oil change should be done. Horses for courses!

I changed mine at 1k....

I agree but the safer I am today the less sorry I tend to be tomorrow. Plus, break in was over and I was ready to jam on the motor a bit.
