Best Oil Filter

Im looking for a better oil filter for my 2014 MR. I use mobil 1 oil and a mitsu filter from a dealer. After 2K miles my oil gets extremely dark and by 3K its almost black. Anybody has any experience/recommendation for a better oil filter? Anybody knows if it will affect factory warranty? Thanks

I use a mobil 1 filter just because I can get the like $7 off when I buy mobil 1 oil and filter. As far as the color you see, thats pretty normal. Oil goes in honey ish color and after just a little bit of running will change to a darker color. The darker color is caused by the combustion gases. I wouldnt be worried about it. A filter wont keep your oil the color like new oil is.

Yes sir. As a matter of fact, I typed in "oil filter" on the website's search engine and took me thru myriads of different threads and forums . I went through at least three pages of the query results and couldn't find anything which pertains to the discussion of "oil filters". I even did it twice. Sorry I opened a new thread for an old topic. I'm quite cognizant of the fact that the group encourages looking for old threads vs. opening new ones. Just the same, I really appreciate the info you sent me. I think I'll try Mobil 1.

For the money and material thats used, the NAPA Gold (Wix) is hard to beat.
It's like comparing a Magen TBE to everyone else, can you get more air thru it, without spend twice as much.

Just a suggestion. I have found that if you google it and just put evo at the end of your question, you find alot more relative threads than just using the search bar on the site. Hope it helps.

People just throwing out filters without data is silly.

The test results indicate the synthetic media is the way to go, followed by a blend and lastly cellulose.
