no no no... I was putting 255whp with ONLY the BR turboback exhaust!

You should be at least 280-290 with the MBC installed and set at 21 or so with the flash.

Your mods are virtually identical to mine, although I got the Flash done in person, and I'm putting down roughly 300 at the wheels, and over 325 torque @ the wheels.

You must be going to a BAD adjusted DYNO.. I have 3" turboback, street tuned dynoflash, high flow cat, K&N air intake system, O2 Turbo housing manifold, UR IC hard pipes, Forge BOV, and Greddy Boost controller set at 22psi and it is dynoed at 269whp on the dynojet.......I took it to some where else, it dynoed 265whp........

With your mods, noway it will go 280-290.....

The way needmorepower phrased the question, he has already got the flash done, he just needs to add the MBC. With the flash, it will be (is) significantly higher, and once he installs the MBC, even higher at peak. A stock evo in our tuning group put down 260WHP with only a K&N and Dynoflash on DynaPack. Therefore, I think that needmorepower's mods, minus the MBC which he hasn't istalled yet, should be good for at least 270+WHP, and once the boost control is in place and it's running right, it should be dynoing very high 200s.

Stock Evos dyno 230whp on Dynojet...

It could be the gas being 91 octane in CA and in VA it is 93. Just a thought.

Stock Evos dyno 230whp on Dynojet...
How I see it is, it doesn't matter which dyno it is, as long as you goto the same dyno every time and hoping they didn't adjust any ramp rate or anything to the dyno itself.

So with your findings on the dynopack, if he took his evo to there then yes it would yield the power as you stated more or less.

But in reality, it makes more sense for a STATED 271hp by factory, to put down around 230-240whp wouldn't it?

Yes, you are right, that would be one of the factors our numbers are different. But not 20-30whp difference.....

ok, all on 93 octane, 3 different dyno brands, 3 locations:

Dynojet, AR Fabrication, VA - ONLY BR tback exhaust/filter - 255whp 260wtq

Dynapack, Agile, MD - Mods below @ 21psi - 295whp 325wtq

Mustang Dyno, Curry's, VA - Mods + 2" exhaust silencer @20psi - 285whp 306wtq

I did the Mustang Dyno specifially to see if the #s would be drastically different, and how much my silencer was taking from me. It's true you should only care about the #s from 1 dyno, so you can use it to chart your progress, but I posted this to show that my numbers are not a fluke of a dyno. Not only that, but Dynapack (all 4 wheels off) usually seem to read lower than Dynojets. On the Dynojet, the day I did my Exhaust run, the stock Evo put down 230whp.

OHHHHHHHH, you are misunderstanding me................I don't mean in ANY way that your numbers are a fluke or anything like that. My point was its just different between different brands of dyno systems. And it is a little more accurate on dynojets....

I hear you, but when you said: "With your mods, noway it will go 280-290....." I had to disagree, based on what I've seen/done. I quote from dynoflash.com: "This Stage ONE set up makes between 280 - 290 HP to the wheels on 94 octane."

True, I haven't been back out to the same Dynojet I first ran on, but based on the stock evo runs on both dynos (jet and pack) of virtually identical 230whp runs, plus a 3rd run for me on the Mustang Dyno (he told me there to expect about 15-20whp lower reading than on the Dynojet) where I pulled over 280 with the silencer, I fully expect to duplicate the results on the Dynojet.

In reality, I'm just posting a lot because I want to be an "Evolved Member"

But seriously, I have raced several "390-400+ hp" cars (Cobras, modded m3s, z06, etc.) and come away a slight winner from standstill and kept up @ speed, so I have no reason to doubt that I'm making good power.

I am having my computer system setup and tuned next week. When I get my car back, I will let you know the result. Hopefully (PRAYING) I can get 300whp.

After that, my next project would be 264/264 cams....That should yield another 20-30whp.

All this will be done on the same dyno so there will be no discripdencies.....(I don't think I spelled that word right)........
