Cool Fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator issues

I have a few questions to ask on Fuel pumps and the benefit of an after market fuel pressure regulator. I drive an Evo VII, I am planning to have a electronic boost controller fit in my car. The question is, do I need to change my stock fuel pumps to an after market ones? doesn't the evo fuel supply being controlled by the ECU? so why do we need a larger one If we're not gonna change the ECU? does changing the stock fuel pump makes a difference? Also how about the fuel pressure regulator? If I decide to change the stock to the SARD fuel pressure regulator does it also makes any difference in performance? I seek your advice.......

You won't pick up any performance by changing the pump and/or regulator alone. Those are considered supporting mods for other upgrades such as cams, bigger turbo, bigger IC, etc.

so does installing a boost controller requires me to upgrade the fuel pump and pressure regulator? It's tunning on 0.6BAR and I would like to increase it to 1BAR. Is this still safe to run?

What car is this for? 1 Bar is 14.7 psi, well under the stock pressure of the Evo. If you have an Evo, a boost controller alone will not require a pump and regulator up to ~20psi.

Its for a Japanese spec Airtrek Turbo (4G63T with Top mount Intercooler). I think it's stock boost is set at 0.6BAR. I am running on a 95 octane fuel and adding the barco octane booster with no caty.
