RRE no namers should be fine. I've got one in each eclipse that I own. I will guess that the tranny fluid is the same situation as the eclipse tranny. Syncromesh is a no-no. Get mitsubishi fluid only.

There are many posts about the GM... it's probably the best fluid for the money thus far for those of us who are using it (less the Pennzoil which is cheaper and the same fluid). Shifts are butter smooth after a few miles of "running it in". You should be good with the clutch... just make sure to get a good install as you don't want the retaining ring poping out after a few hundred miles of use. Users of the ACT w/ the upgraded disc (same used in the X clutch I believe) from RRE are saying that it really breaks in closer to 1000 miles though.

I don't have any experience with the no name clutch but because of the labor involved with swaping clutches I only want to do it once so I went with a Cucso Carbon clutch which should be overkill for my application. I mean the clutch could be great but if its not I'll be pissed off to have to do it all over again. Good Luck and God Speed and use mitsu OEM fluids!!

Just a little knowlegde that I want to share. The best oil for any manual tranny is to be any motor oil 15w30 or 15w40. trust me on this. i run this on my current 2g with a 1g race motor. I also ran it in my evo.. i used valvoline..

The TSB fix for "notchy shifting" in the first and second Gen DSMs is GM P/N 12345349 per Mitsubishi. GM syncroshift. If you go to any Mitsu dealer and ask the right person behind the parts counter, you will find a stash of the stuff. Pennzoil makes the stuff for GM... I've found this through research and now my own testing to be a very noticeable improvement in shifting. It cured the 2nd shift grind in my car!.
