Is it too much boost

Is it too much boost

Hey guys I have my mbc set to 22 psi of boost is this too high...for everyday driving?...if not I love all the power. I have a fuel pump, cams, MBC, intake, catback, testpipe...etc.

Al, from dynoflash doesn't recommend anything over 20.5 psi for safety's sake. I run 20-20.5 and am very happy with the way it pulls. If you are going to run higher make sure your fuel system is up to par to handle that kind of boost without detonation. Honestly the 4G63 is very strong but I myself try to stay a bit consevative.

Hi,

You didn't mention tuning. I would suggest having your car tuned for 20 to 21 psi with minimum 93 octane pump gas via a flash or piggy back. Any reduction in power from a slightly lower boost will be be offset by an accurate AFR.
