MBC Or Not to MBC

Have you found the ECU to be flexable enough to not need a MBC to control boost? What are people doing removing the pill? I am going on the dyno Saturday and dont want to need something that I do not have. I have a 9MR thanks.

Not worth removing the pill imo. Just get an mbc. You'l be happy with it.

I was hoping to remove my MBC and switch back to the factory solenoid. I think a lot of people target 20-21psi (peak, with as little taper as possible). Is it realistic to try to achieve this with the factory solenoid? I know some people have (roughly), but I still don't know if it's worth the trouble to remove my already-installed MBC.

I haven't tried to get the stock boost solenoid to hold boost. IMO its so much easier to just use a MBC, rather then get out the laptop everytime you want to change the boost.

I am going to bring a MBC to the dyno this weekend but as a last resort. Once I get it tuned I will post my AF/Boost/TQ/HP/Timing

MBC's are also proven to be more consistent than the factory solenoid.

But then again, removing the pill and installing a 6.50 bleed valve is pretty freakin cost effective. I hit 32psi last night, not that I wanted to really but the pill out by itself is worth about 25 or so.
