Anybody here running a EGT gauge with an Alarm(sound)? I just got a Perrin downpipe and looking to get EGT gauge so I can see the exhaust temp. I am trying to put this gauge in the ash tray. I know Greddy makes one with a warning light but I want one with a sound alarm, so I don't have to look at it. Any suggestions would very helpful, thanks.

 

it's not the cheapest way, but if you go Defi-Link (around $100 for the control unit and another $250 for the EGT gauge w/ probe) you can set warnings as well as do peak hold and also 3 minute EGT history recording

 

^yep.i have the bf series egt.it beeps when you set it.

 

So its a must to buy the ****rol unit in order to have the EGT gauge to beep as an alarm?
