Greddy Ti - Review

Hey Guys...

Just got the Greddy installed. First the quality is just awesome and not to mention that it's super light. LOOKS beautiful too.

I believe someone asked a question earlier in one of the other threads about resonators. There are no resonators on the pipe. The pictures u see on the Greddy website are NOT that of the EVO specific cat back. This one has minimal bends and no sharp 90degree bends. I know someone has posted pictures before so just search for the Greddy and u will see pictures. I don't have a digi cam so I cannot take or post pictures.

My first impressions - The sound actually exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had Greddy EVO on my maxima before and that was very quiet without a downpipe. The Ti one is just beautiful. It doesn't sound loud to me but to each his own. Yes u can hear the exhaust inside on highway speeds and street use. It does NOT drone much though..that however may change with a downpipe when u make it turbo back...not sure though.

The sound is very throaty and clean and I just absolutely love it...more than the Greddy EVO I had on the max. I haven't heard other exhausts so I cannot comment how it compares to those. I'm totally satisfied with it.

I got it installed at Godspeed and I must say his customer service is topnotch. Dan's an awesome guy and so are the ppl working with/for him. Not to mention I got a nice deal too.

As for power gains, I'm not really sure. To me the stock exhaust also looked pretty decent. I think I do feel the turbo spool up a little quicker, but it's just a cat back. I haven't been able to redline just yet so I cannot comment really on the power gain.

Hope this helps anyone who may be interested in the Greddy.

yes it's like 9lbs vs 32lbs stock, let us know how it sounds if you add a downpipe

The craftsmanship on the Greddy Ti is amazing. The whole exhaust is surely light. The only downside is that it is extremeyl loud because the lack of resonators.

I've got a good video clip of the TI exhuast completely around the vehicle to hear the differences around the car ( Subwoofer required for viewing to hear all the sound details ). This is on a car with upgraded turbo and no cat at idle. Anyone have a place to host it? It's 12.5 MB.

Both with the insert removed.

hooptie, I have it sitting in the closet ready to bolt on....and I also have the lancershop heatshield since the exhaust looks short....I'm planning of installing the heatshield inward more so it doesn't poke out like the pictures they show of the shield, but people are telling me sooting will occur....I was wondering if sooting is occuring on the outer bumper on your car (getting on the inside grooves of the exhaust is a no brainer but on the actual outside bumper?) and if so, are you running a test pipe? Frankly I'm kind of scared of this exhaust now, I bought it for performance but I think this thing is gonna sound like thunder when I have my new turbo and new cams in. -_- (I live in CA, so....this would be really bad)

Hasn't burned the bumper or no stains either. I just have the catback on so far so that's probably why I haven't had that problem. I did see a blue evo with a catless downpipe and Greddy Ti and it did have the stains on it. I was told that they were just stains and would come off easy with washing and polishing it.

not sure if the bumper got burnt or not. I have a black evo so it may not look that bad, but if it is causing the bumper to burn than Greddy needs to redesign the exhaust.

As of now i'm pretty happy with it. It doesn't sound loud too me, but again that's just my opinion. Lets just say it's not as loud as the Greddy SP on my friends 92 Honda accord

tama_mog - I'm acutally running a high flow cat and I still have the soot problem. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get the lancershop shield (I just hate paying 9 dollars shipping on a 12.00 part). I'm getting the shield because I'm getting CAMS, EMS, and some other stuff and turbotrix says that the cat acts like a parachute so there're replacing it with a test pipe. I hope its not gonna be way too loud without the cat.

I'm running a high flow cat also....can you tell me if you get sooting on the actual bumper? aka outside the groove where the tip sits under. Or is it just on the groove above the tip of the catback.....I'm debating if I should put that shield on the way it looks in the pictures because it dun look right sticking out like that to me.....I'd much rather just have it fitted around the groove so it's not sticking out. And yeah, I kick myself everytime I order stuff from lancershop with their shipping...and I never learn, I just keep ordering 1 small thing @ a time heh.
