Just wondering if the EVO turbo will bolt up to a 99 GSX eclipse? If so, what will i need with the turbo to make it so?

 

no the turbo on a evo spins in the reverse direction than the gsx's An evo III turbo will work on a gsx

 

where can i find them? i wanna buy a 16g for a friend who has a GSX

I don't think that the way the turbo spins would be a factor to why it wouldn't fit the 3g eclipse. The 3g eclipse turbine flange is for t25-or t28....The Evo's is totally different. But, you could buy a junkyard turbine exhaust mani and the turbo. Or...you can buy the 1g eclipse turbine exhaust mani....and the Evo turbo......Those will mat together no problem.

 

trust me newb it won't work The evo III turbo is a bad a$$ turbo and it bolts right up with a 2g install kit

 

Install kit..there you go....By the way...I'm not a Newb..I just changed my name. But I was referring to direct bolt on...If he wanted to save that dough...all he has to do is buy a 1g turbine exhaust mani and the evo fits right on that.

 

It's a 2G Eclipse in question and the EVO III 16G will bolt right up to the exhaust manifold. Don't even think about a 1G manny unless you feel like wasting money on an inferior piece. Check out Forced Performance for the turbo and Road Race for the install kit.

 

I have an Evo III 16G on my car. I love it. 11 second capable, tons of torque for daily driving.
