HELP!! My EVO wont start!

Hi fellow EVOists

My car went to the body shop to get repaired from a rear end collision and while it was there, something happened and now it wont start. Here are some important details:

1. The car has the AEM EMS, not stock ECU
2. The battery was bad and has been replaced
3. I've checked all the obvious fuses in the fuse box under the hood.
4. The spark plugs are getting spark.
5. There are no obvious wiring problems
6. The Walbro fuel pump makes sounds like it's working when key is turned on
7. The Injectors have 12v to them with the key "on"
8. According to the EMS, the sensors are all working and there are no errors

I'm at my wits end with this. The car engine turns over will not start. There might be other fuses or electrical components that I've not checked or there might be other mechanical reasons for this.

Please help me with this!

Thanks,

Manuel

my question is, if you replace the stock ECU with the AEM EMS, what happens to do immobilizer?

If the car was rear ended it is possible the puckup on the fuel pump came off from the impact or any number things could have happened. Check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

I agree that it seems to be a fuel issue... Something like that could have happened, in which case the insurance would pick up the repairs. More likely, in the process of the bodywork something was probably disturbed that should not have..... I'll have the car moved away from the body shop and into a mechanic shop soon, then I'll see what turns up. In the meantime, I'd still appreciate input and ideas

Thanks

I figure that was the case. The timing was off. Same thing happen to me on my 00 SI. That was some serious damage. Do check the head bolt cuz they could be loost now.

I think I was lucky. There did not seem to be any damage. The engine has good compression so there is no leaking anywhere.....

Glad it was okay but I suggest you often check the head gasket area on the engine for oil leak. It took a bit before I saw very small amount of oil coming from the side of the head gasket. I think the head bolts on my car got loose but not sure. Good luck.
