Gears get stuck when race shifting? PLZ HELP!

Hey i recently changed my clutch and now i cant shift when racing. if i rev high {7k} i cant put the car in the next gear. Do i have to change my tranny fluid to something else? Right now i have mitsu spec fluid. And is it even the tranny fluid thats causing thhis? If i got redline tranny fluid would it solve my problem? plz help!

If you put in a high counter weighted clutch and didn't change to a stainless hose you could be blowing up the hose and not releasing or you could have air in the line.

I got the RRE X-clutch which is a much higher pressure plate load. I have the stock line. I got the braided line but my stock clutch died the same day i put it in so it got me worried. U think changing to the braided line will fix it? By the way shifting goes in just fine when im not near redline. I only have trouble near redline.

I'm having a similar problem, plan on rebleeding my slave cylinder, I would suggest the same to you.

Check your clutch's adj, what is happening is that your clutch is not fully releasing when trying to **** fast. Causing your clutch disc to drag on the flywheel which doesn't let your transmission gears slow down fast enough causing your syncros do work harder or in your case not work at all.

The line may help as you will experience more backpressure from that pressure plate on t he hydraulics. Also if the restrictor is still in place it would also help free up fluid flow to the slave cylinder. Your problem is not enough travel from the slave cylinder. Be careful with pedal adjustment because the direction you need to go to gain more travel can cause the piston in the master cylinder not to seat fully and leave residual pressure in the slave cylinder, thereby slightly releasing the clutch. Adjusting the pedal to the factory spec is a great idea and I don't think enough people have looked at it. I adjusted mine to spec a long time ago and can tell you it was out by the spec. This was with very little miles on the car so it came that way from the factory.

If all else fails then it may be a problem with the presure plate, but I am sure you don't want to hear that.

can anyone give me a how to on adjusting the ****ing clutch pedal, I just spent 15 minutes on my ****ing back in the hot *** texas sun trying to find this adjustment bolt or whatever the hell it is, someone help me out here, I really don't know what the hell I'm looking for, I turned a nut that was on a long gold bolt pretty high up the clutch assembly and couldn't adjust ****, I'm confused and it's hot as hell out there. Would love to get this done by tonight so would greatly appreciate any help from you guys/gals.

Thanks to the help of Blak94GSX I fixed the problem. Hopefully it will stay fixed. What I did was loosen the lock nut on the rod right above the clutch pedal and turn the rod clockwise {when facing the front of the car} half a turn and then tighten the lock nut. Broke all wheels loose shifting to second like usual. If the problem comes back {hopefully not} ill post, if not, it works. Thanks everyone

lol i know ur pain i just went through it. Ok u were probably turning the right bolt. Its far up and connected to that rod that goes into the firewall in a black rubber thing. Loosen that nut, then u have to use pliars or sumthin cuz its greesy. Turn the rod towards the gas pedal {right} half a turn then tighten the nut again, drive ur car and see how it feels.

k, got it done, thanks for the advice, I figured it out as a mosquito perched on my eyelid btw, NOT a job for anyone claustrophobic. shifting at high and low rpm's seems much better now, will push it on the highway entrance ramps tonight.
