David sullivan huh, good luck with that. He was the one that was of the opinion that my first Evo was fixed when the problem unexplicably just stopped eventhough it was misfirng an hour before he got there and they hadn't changed any parts since then. I would tell your service manger that the next time he is there you want to meet him personally. He goes to each dealership about twice a month. Be honest with him but, don't tell him anymore than he needs to know because he will use it against you later on. IE, don't tell him that "this thing hauls ***" and things of that nature. He will interprate that as "I race and abuse my car please, take my warranty away". He is very direct and as long as you shoot straight arrows with him he should be alright to deal with.

Definately get a lawyer. If the car was put back together incorrectly there is no reason this should be this hard. It also never hurts to threaten them with calling the local news channel and the better business bureau. They will definately not want the bad press. Have you talked to the dealership manager or owner? He may also be helpful. Yeah, Mr. Sullivan was not extremely helpful in my situation either and I definately saw the potential for him to be a royal PITA. During the buyback process he drug his feet on getting Mitsubishi the paperwork they needed and basicly told them the car was fixed and they should not buy it back. Some customer service.

ahhhh the question of questions at this point i cannot find a lawyer that will take the case... the dealer that messed the car up refuses to even talk to me at this point. They will not take my phone calls and when i catch them off guard the only answers to my questions i get is "no comment" the owner wont talk to me. and he has instructed all the people below him not to comment on the subject. And the only lawyer that said he would take the case says "i think you got a case but i was $2000 up front and $200 per an hour. Mitsubishi motors will not help me out at all on this. They say because its a private dealer their hands are tied. i mean wouldnt you think they should atleast be able to threaten their dealer license to sell mitsubishi's?????? Right now its very discouraging this has been going on since june first its now the 30th and i have to make another car payment..... isnt that some bull****...Anyway any helpful hints would be nice at this point its by far the most stressful thing in my life hell even more stressful than being layed of or being in the car wreck i was in about a month ago.... mitsubishi sucks for sure i wont ever buy another one of their cars and i havent totally decided im not just going to let them repo this piece of ****.......

Damn, sorry to hear about this whole ordeal you've gone through.

I would definitely document everything that happened with a timeline, including how the dealership sent you to other dealerships and how they blew you off and treated you so badly. Should you have any problems down the line, you'll have everything down on paper.

This happened to a friend of mine here on the board EvoG8r. Same crap, they thought the EVO was a DSM and put BG syncroshift in the transfercase along with the transmission. BOOM.

Transfer case gone.

This is a good lesson for all on not getting your car and running the **** out of it. Launches ruin clutches and then this kind of stuff happens!
