My transfer case makes a horrible noise. The shop that did my clutch put synchromesh in transfer case and the same problems happened after 150 miles of driving. I'm sure Mitsu will warranty it because it's their fault.

As far as the lemon law goes you probably wouldn't have to go that far. In NC the requirements to meet the lemon law are 4 attempts to fix the exact same problem or 20 working days(monday through friday only, even if they work saturdays) out of service in a year. However if you have enough problems and raise enough hell but, still act professionally you stand a good chance at a "courtesy buy back".If you look for my thread titled "unf**kingbelievable" in Evo General there may be some info to help you in there.

Cut a hole in the bell housing???? At the dealer? I asuume because they didnt know there is an access hole to release the throw-out bearing. Which probably means they were not even looking at the FSM. If they were this incompotent, its hard to tell waht else they screwd up in there. Id say its definitly from a bad install. Contact your district rep. immediatly. You should be able to that that covered for free, including a new tranny.

 

Oh, I forgot.Contact the Mitsu customer service line and let them know you want to file a case with them on your car not being fixed prperly and also let them know that the dealership screwed up things that weren't broke to start with. If you have to go to arbitration this will be helpful. It will also get Mits. to start putting some pressure on the district rep. to get cracking.

nice this is exactly what i wanted to hear... i went by there today and got ahold of the owner he refused to give me a rental! so i said ok ill drive it till it breaks then i guess because i cannot be without a car..... The new tranny prospect sounds good btw. As for location im in the middle of the state around greensboro these guys havent been trained on DSM's Evo's Anything awd.... they were just guessing.... The best part is how one guy took it apart and a totally different person put it back together thats the intelligent way . They managed to strip a bolt out on the underside of the car that they had to re tap and then when i brought it back in because it was making noises i went over and took a bolt out of the underside of the car by hand....... this is actually getting funny i guess..... anyway what would i have to do to get ahold of the district service rep????

HERE IS MY PROBLEM Had A New Clutch Installed Two Weeks Ago. It Was Fine Untill A Couple Of Days Ago. I Noticed It Was Getting Hard To Put Into First Gear When I Would Stop At A Red Light / Stop Sign. Now It Started To Do It In 2nd... I Have To Turn The Car Off And Put It Into 1st Gear.....

I Made An Adjustment Behind The Clutch Pedal Ad It Is A Little Beter Every Once In A While It Does It Now......

The Other Problem I Have Happen A Few Days After The Clutch Was Installed. When I Let The Clutch Out In First Gear And Start To Roll It Makes A Loud Winnie Nose And Goes Away When The Car Rolls. When The Clutch Is Let All The Way Out It Stops.

The Clutch Is An Exedy Hyper Single Disk, New Throw Out Bearing, And Flywheel..

Anybody Have Any Info On This..........

I had the same problem after changed my clutch. They didn't service everything right and I blew the transfer case. They tried to blame me........ Eventually got it replace under warranty.

 

I hear you bro, my evo is a piece of ****e to. I've had nothing but problems with it, I'd like to light the piece on fire.

 

The Evo transfercase must have SAE 90w in it. Any other type of fluid will cause the ring and pinion inside of it to FAIL
Hope your ready to buy a new transfercase or hope you get whomever worked on it to fix it.

 

They Better warranty it or i will drive this ****in piece of **** thru there front window about 70mph then if i survive they can repo the pile! At this time they need to not **** with me too hard... i have been layed off and just trying to make ends meet and make this damn payment off unemployment. so all i got to say is FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
