Anyway, My car doesnt make that whine, but I do get a bit of whistling that appears to be coming from the 1G DV.. It doesn't happen under boost at all though, it happens at part throttle or coming to a stop when there appears to be an equalization of pressure on both sides of the DV and there's not adequate spring pressure to keep it closed.
1G valves are known for slight whistling on light throttle

I get the same type of whistle on my mostly stock car. All I have is an HKS downpipe and hi-power cat-back. Everything else is stock. It only happens in low throttle situations taking off from a stop in 1st gear and with low throttle at low rpms in 2nd gear. The noise became noticeable after I installed my downpipe.

Deceit is correct with the 1G BOV whistle. Get used to it.

how bout using the OEM gasket to connect to the bottom of the turbo and then use a cardboard gasket soaked in oil right after it. Do you think that would work?

WELL you are the man....i did exactly what you did and BAM NO MORE LEAKS...sweet. Next week I will take it back off and see how it is holding up and maybe i will support it a little more will the OEM gasket too.

You can buy do it yourself gasket kits from any auto parts store. They are not to exspensive.

where do i tap for vacuum? the new buschur pipes did not come with the little nipple that the oem did on the lower IC pipe.

also i have a 03 model and the driver side braket on the IC did not fit

im also having a hard time getting the hose from where the stock Dv was to the new 1g DV it seems that the 1g is pointing down too far and the hose has to be bent( crimped) to get it on.

Cool. I'm glad it worked out for you. It will probably be fine. There are worse example of "field engineering" on the road than a home made gasket.

Exactly. I had my crap apart and it was Sunday evening and the auto parts store was closed. I improvised so I could get back on the road for Monday morning.

Dude you posted in a 5 1/2 year old thread.

A Buschur FMIC is a bolt on affair. Pull the bumper. Take off the stock piece and bolt up the Buschur. I believe Buschur's FMIC's require you to use their LICP for bolt on fitment however.

But honestly if you need instructions to install a IC you may want rethink DIY
