I believe works offers free reflashing back to stock. My question is say you get it flashed have a problem, send the PCM back and get it flashed to stock and then bring it in for work. Is there any way they can check the PCM to see if it has been flashed previously. I know its not honest but it's a "hypothetical" question.

put "secret" codes in each ECU before it leaves the factory in order to know if it had been flashed??? Then again, if they DO do that, then the codes are either in NV memory, which means that you could read them and store them for later reinsertion, or they are in memory that is erased when power is lost, in which case all you'd have to say is you disconnected the battery for whatever reason. I'll bet the dealer snowed that guy into fessing up about the reflash...you gotta deny, deny, deny...never, ever admit ANYTHING!!!
