I'm pretty sure they can tell...wasn't there a post about them knowing awhile back or is that the post that was referred to before?

Damn...are you serious??? The Powerloader reflash on my Vette was totally undetectable...I got over $2500 worth of work done under warranty AFTER the reflash...I guess GM isn't as militant as about warranty work...

With regards to JoeyCoates, Mitsu said that his ECU was clear of any/all signals and therefore determined that it had been tinkered with/cleared of all messages..

Is there any way to reflash back to stock and keep the signals/messages? Perhaps dump them somewhere before flashing?

That seems pretty weak...how do they know that it wasn't clean to begin with...or does put "secret" codes in each ECU before it leaves the factory in order to know if it had been flashed??? Then again, if they DO do that, then the codes are either in NV memory, which means that you could read them and store them for later reinsertion, or they are in memory that is erased when power is lost, in which case all you'd have to say is you disconnected the battery for whatever reason. I'll bet the dealer snowed that guy into fessing up about the reflash...you gotta deny, deny, deny...never, ever admit ANYTHING!!!

i thought it was becuase his name on here was his real name, and we all know mitsu reads this crap, just so they can void warrenties, then put out a press release denying it.
