Cleaning/Replacing cone filters...

I have had the AEM Intake on my car for 8 months and the cone filter is rather dirty. Is there a way to clean the filter or should I just buy a new one...if so, where is a cheap place to buy them?

Go to your local auto parts store and buy the K&N kit to clean your filter for $10. Make sure you use very little oil... just enough to re-wet the cotton. Too much oil, at the least, will make your car run poorly.

i would suggest waiting til night time, than taking it off your car, and making sure you oil it/clean it properly, let it sit over night, than wipe off excess oil and reinstall, that way none gets into your intake.

Is the AEM filter paper or cotton? As long as its not paper you should be able to clean it with the K&N kit.

Paper, I think...anyone care to chime in who knows...

So, I take it the easiest way to clean the filter is with the K and N kit....If I were to replace it, anyone know of a place that sells the AEM filters?

Here is a list of shops/vendors from evolutionm. The answer has to be in here somewhere! http://corp.evolutionm.net/advertisers.php
