ATI super damper?

What are the race 4g63s doing for a harmonic dampener? I have an ATI on my LS6 and love it, I would like to get one for my Evo as well. Thanks!

Back from the dead. Now that ATI has released a super damper for the Evo, has anyone installed it? I am very interested in the following information:
- weight vs. stock pulley
- power gain/loss
- ease of installation
- overall impressions

I have a built 2.0l engine with balance shafts removed ... I'm assuming that installing this damper would be a good thing. Some real-world feedback would be appreciated greatly.

Damn why has no one responded. I am VERY interested in this as well.

I noticed something very interesting tonight about the ATI SD. Curt Brown uses it...

I installed it last week.

http://zevo.se for more information/pictures.

It's larger than the stock pully so you need a longer belt. I have removed my AC and I had to use a ~58.5 inch one (the RS belt is way to short).

Weird... I just talked to Curt Brown and he said its actually WAY HEAVIER! He said it smooths out the motor up top and saves his rod bearings since he revs to 10,500rpm!

I talked to Dave Buschur about it and he told me not to waste the money. They use the stock one on their race car.

Yeah but it could also be $475 to help your engine stay together longer.

Yes that may be true, howveer, the only people using it I know of now are the hardcore drag guys (ISP's 800whp+ EVO and and Curt Brown's 9sec EVO).

So for the 99.9% of people who dont have that kind of power, I think its just a huge waste of $ :-)

Oh I agree that it wouldn't be needed for most cars.
