are you taking air friction into account, no offense to the evo but its not the sleekest thing on the street....

also maybe it shouldnt be doin that speed....it might out handle a ferrari at speeds below 120, but above 150 i think the ferrari is in its environment...

Didn't the Norris Designs Evo 7 hit 202 mph? Maybe you could try asking them. They probably have more experience about top speed than anyone else.

Rollaway, just go to your local DICK's store,or EMS (eastern mountain sports) if any are near by and pick up a hand held GPS( made for hiking)for around $100-150.00.They are
usually dead on to aprox. 1 mph,and lower end models aprox.20 feet, any where on this
continent.BTW,7800 is 184 on gps.(Yes,I am slightly ecu speed limited due to REV limit)

I had my evo topped out a last week on a long deserted highway. 5th showed 165 @ 7300. The guy on the CBR 900 RR was feelin a little shakey at that speed . Evo was so solid felt like I was doing 80 . He was impressed with the car . First and last time I will ever do that again.

i dont think you'll hit 199 mph as the evo is aerodynamically limited in general.. it would need better aerodynamtics like lets say a corvette or a ferrari to hit that speed.... the car is designed in an air tunnel to maximize cooling and downforce for speeds seen on a track... i wouldnt pull more then 140 on the evo for long... anything more and you may loose control or your tires will blow... check out the top speed of Noris evo, about 200 mph only on paper... even the mclaren F1 which is rated over 215mph cant really do that with stock tires as it will blister at 200....
