Anyone have the APS Intake?

Like it says, anyone have the APS cold air intake? If you do I was wandering how you like it, and how hard it is to install? I had the AEM intake, but it is too hot in AZ for 6 months of the year. I also wanted to know if you have to use the reservoir or can you go without the I/C spray, don't use it that often anyway. Any help would be great, thanks.

It (APS) works for me. No issues with sucking in hot air or anything. Idles great, sounds even better. My only concern is water getting in the intake. I contacted APS and they tell me it would take a puddle at least 12 inches deep for there to be a problem. If you look close at the pic you can see the filter through the grill next to the license plate. Remember you will also need the APS intercooler water trank. The other pic is the installed intake without the water tank. Oh yea, install is a little more involved than the AEM. You will need to lift the car and take the stock intercooler water tank out from the bottom as well as putting the new air filter on the APS.

Did you use the stock accordian intake piping or something else? Also, did you install it or did you have a shop do it? One last question. Where did you get the intake from? I appreciate the help.

Thumbs up aps intake

i own one, when i first put it on with jist a cat back pro-1 exhaust the car made
on provens dyno 279hp at the wheels.you must get a flash because this intake sees
such good air the car runs lean. after a flash from turbotrix and a hallman manual
boost controller , fuel regulator, and pump the car made 310hp at the wheels. thats
with only 19 psi.with 22psi the car made 335 hp.thay all love that intake.the intakes that just bolt to the turbo makes no sence to me. why just not take a heat gun and blow hot air into the turbo..da

I took the stock intake box off, left the stock intake piping (you have to be carefull unbolting the airbox from the MAF if you ever plan on using the stock box again), pulled the intercooler water tank out from the bottom of the car. There are a few other kinks but if you are mechanicly inclined its not a problem. I got it from these guys: http://www.turboperformance.net/bsp/ . I know few of this forums venders carry it but cant remember who.

I also have the APS intake and love it. It is a little bit of a pain to install, because you do need to remove the stock intercooler sprayer, but it does suck in a lot air. GRD performance in Naperville, IL carry the intake.

how you get this a lot of torque in only 3200 rpm
were is the best degree on hks cams.
were you get the unichip, and why you want to change to hks, is unichip plug & play, or you need a dyno for tuning .
