It's made by Exedy so I guess it should be very similar to theirs. I've also heard that it's very similar to HKS GD-MAX which also is made by Exedy if I'm not mistaking I’ve driven a car with the Ralliart twin plate clutch but as I’ve never driven any other twin plate I have no reference to give a good comparison. Anyway, I though the car was pretty easy to drive and not to harsh, compared to Ralliart’s single plate which I used to have on my VI it’s much nicer to drive as well as tougher.

I never knew that HKS and Ralliart contracted out the manifacturing of the clutch to exedy. thats good to know. How was the engagment off the line?

I know for sure that Ralliart does, not 100% sure about HKS but I've heard it from several different people. On the Ralliart clutch it says Exedy on the cover so no doubt on that. But that doesn't mean that the Ralliart and the Exedy are exactly the same. Probably Ralliart gave their spec to Exedy and they made it accordingly. I think I’ve read some where that they don’t have the exact same pressure but it was pretty close as I remember.

Do you mean "off the line" like an easy start or a launch? I thought it was very nice to drive, obviously it’s a metallic clutch so you couldn’t compare driveability to an organic clutch but I see no problem driving around town with it. When you like to do a launch it felt very strong and you could easily slip it just as you liked and then you were just rocketing forward. You could definitely not do that with a stock clutch or you would end up in a cloud of bad smelling smoke
