Help!!! Can't get the P0300 flash!

Well I took my car to the dealer last week because I have been experiencing the P0300 code. I was extremely excited about getting rid of the problem, but after 2 hours of sitting around they proclaimed that they were unable to get the flash to work. I called the dealership back today and they claim that there have been many other evolutions in that they have succesfully flashed since I was there. They claim that because I have the emanage that their computer cannot communicate with the ecu and therefore I cannot get the flash until I take the emanage out. Has anyone else experienced this problem or is Mitsu just full of crap???

bs, which dealership did you go to in AZ?

Is it hard to take the emanage out? If it's not too hard I would just do that, get the flash, then put it back in.

Has anyone with a piggyback installed successfully had their car reflashed by the dealer?

you shouldn't even let them see you have the e-manage in your car, they could void the warrenty right away

I don't know for sure, but a piggy back may interrupt the flash program when they do a checksum check. I would suggest you either take out the piggy back before going back to the dealer or at least try to set everything to "0" (not modifying any OEM ECU signal).

XEDE users are having problems getting the flash to work. The piggy back is not allowing the upload of the new software onto the ecu's for some reason.

So I can see how the emanage will cause problems also. Can't you just unplug it once you get onto the dealers lot?

Hiya,
I don't see how the XEDE can interfere with the reflashing process. We have no problem doing such a thing at our shop. If it does, for some bizarre reason, all you need to do is unplug it for the few minute it takes to reflash the ECU.
