ECU questions....will any 03 evolution ECU work?

I have a questions regarding ECU's for you guys. I have a 03 evolution and two 03 evolution ecu's ...will they both run the car the same ? Or is there something that has to be done to achieve that setup....reason i ask is that i want to get two flashes...one for pump gas tune and one for race gas tune...
Thanks in advance
Dave

I always thought the ECU would only work with a particular VIN#, no?

just get standalone, like AEM. That would be a lot easier... but the 03 ECU is prong to misfire... Should get some 04 ones.

Oh, and the immobilizer needs to be setup on both of your ECU, since only one is programmed for your key.

Is it the ECU that needs to be programmed for the immobilizer? or does the Immobilizer need to be configured for the ECU? This isn't very well documented, as far as I know nobody has had an opportunity to try it to see if it works "out of the box"

You need to have the chip programmed in sync with the key and the ECU.

Really? The 04' ECU is having misfire problems as well? That sucks.

By the way, Reflash from dealer doesn't work. Just reset your ECU.
