Boost leak after clutch install.

Okay got my clutch install the other day by a friend of a friend and after that the car sounds and runs like it's leaking boost. I call him up and he told me it could be the BR intercooler piping, the one that goes from the intercooler to the turbo. The pipe or the flange could be the problem. I'm planning to lift the car up and check tonight but that suck. Anyone else ever had problem with BR intercooler piping?

Will a boost leak cause the car to boost spike and also lag before going into boost.

It went in good and now this.

Its not a problem with the piping. It just needs to be tightened up more than likely. And yes this happens all the time.

Thanks. He told me it was the actual pipe so I need to remove it and see if it's the pipe or the flange, gasket that is bad. I just hope this is the only problem cuz if I find out that it's something else :mad

because the tubing flange isnt perfect the stock gasket will leak. i had this same exact problem and now i use the cardboard material gasket maker. you can buy a roll of it from pep boys, autozone.....whatever. i have had it on now for 2 months and not a single problem. Just fyi....wet the material with some Mobil 1 oil first before the install.

Thanks for tip. Not sure what the cardboard material gasket maker is but I'll ask the guys at pep boys or autozone. Did you remove the stock gasket or add the gasket maker on top of the stock one? How hard and long will it take to remove the lower IC pipe?

Thks.
