Cam gears, and reference marks...was told to set them 1 tooth off when I install?
well guys...i installed the AEM cam gears tonight. I got to looking at the AEM gears and the stock gears, and well....the dowel pin hole on the AEM looks like its in the exact same position compared to the stock gears ..A little left of right mid 0. So what I did was just kept the AEM gears set a 0 on both, and did one gear at a time, marking the belt where the stock 0 notch was on the timing belt, and replacing the gear with the AEM and putting the 0 notch on the AEM right back on the same position on the belt where the stock one came off. Im sure this is very fine, and they look identical as before, just pretty. I did not do any adjusting of the cam gears yet, so for now im still at factory 0/0 settings on the AEM gears. didnt want to adjust tonight, and really dont want to until I find out exactly what settings need to be done since all of this Vishnu / make a dot one tooth off from -2 for 0' TDC setting stuff. I was also told, vishnu only does that because of cams really being made for DSM? Oh well, all seems to be fine soo far. I guess Ill be hearing about it tommorow from Noize and andrew at Dyno4mance.
