does anyone have the K&N EVO Typhoon Intake System
I have one installed and running correctly - it was a Christmas gift from my wife. The Typhoon seemed to throw off the AFRs under WOT pretty badly. My car was already modified (3" turbo back, XEDE, cams & gears) and that may have made the problem worse. Under cruising (off boost) conditions, the OEM ECU was able to compensate for the Typhoon just fine.
To get the car running right I ended up putting the car on a dyno and using the XEDE to re-map my AFRs to where they needed to be. The Typhoon does re-use the the OEM mass air sensor.

I got mine shortly after I had my 3" turbo back put on and it ran like ***. I was very rarely able to get anywhere near 4k rpms. Car would just die (not stall, but complete loss of power).
Sounded nice though... least till I hit boost or 3k rpms lol.
Added the AEM EMS shortly after that. I didn't wanna blow that kind of cash, but it was worth it.
Edit: Yes it connects to the MAF. The instructions even tell you how to do it. Warning though: the instructions also tell you to put the BOV on backwards
Atleast mine did. Maybe they fixed it.
