You need to learn to read Josh. Obviously he has a problem with his setup. Its not the tuning though. That's what I said in my last post.

Bad thing about the Evo is the rice appeal. Quite a few noobs getting Evos, slapping parts on them, and then crying because they have zero experience in getting them all to work together. Obviously, there was a problem with the setup the user could not handle, then he refused to pay a competant person to diagnose it, now we have to hear about it here.

Bottom line, he has no experience, and he half-assed the project. Get off the flash tit and get a stand-alone at that level (large turbo).

Al has also made over 500 whp with a reflash on his car. Regardless of tuning, the results Kevin got with his setup means something is mechanically wrong. Even on a completely stock ecu, 28 psi on a big turbo should be more than 380 whp.
Well I know nothing about his particular situation, but just because somone else made more power on the same dyno with differnet kits or you on a totally seperate dyno doesn't mean he's going to make more or the same.

We know nothing about the tune. Al might have made big power, but he's probably tuning much different than a consumer car.

Regardless, are we talking about the same thread here, he's says his 27.5# run was 412 whp? I see some got edited so Im not sure where you are getting the 28# 380 number

So anyway, the point of my post is every evo is different and since we know nothing about the tune itself, it's hard to discuss. To me it just seems that if there were a mechanical failure, you wouldn't be getting as high of numbers on the race fuel that he should. So, my guess is the tuning. Wrong turbo? Maybe, but not likely. I dunno.... I do know we aren't going to know anything until he gets it looked at.

PS. A huge turbo on a stock ecu isn't going to make 380. It's going to make one big paper weight

I was at the dyno day at Pruven when he got his current tune. His last dyno read 380 whp and it was at 28 lbs of boost. I made close to his power on the stock turbo on the same dyno.

Kevin, just sell your car or put it back to stock. Is all of this bull**** really worth it? Either that, or just get yourself an EMS or a utec. All of these flashes you're getting is getting ridiculous and they're not even going anywhere for you.
