300.4 on a Dyno Dynamics

Been tuning the Revolver Cams test car in New England.

This is the 93 Octane Tune

82% humidity
77 degrees F
29.92 Baro

3rd Gear Pull
115 Ramp Rate

93 Octane Mobil One

Stock Turbo
Tiapan XP turbo back exhaust w/ catalyst removed
DN Performance exhaust manifold
APS Intercooler
KTR Upper Charge pipe
Revolver camshaft set (with springs and retainers)
Autronic PnP
Stock Airbox w/BMC Filter

These cams seem to offer more low-end torque than what is out there.

There has been a few KTR dynocharts floating around can you pull up a stock evo/wrx/sti for reference please. FWIW looks as if the scaling is much different than ours

if you go to our website, you can find many stock dyno runs for many different cars in our database.

http://www.ktrperformance.com

On average a Stock WRX is about 150~160 WHP, a STi is about 220~230, and Evolutions from 215~225. Most of the gain is from the 93 octane here in New England.

David, If it will make you happy, I can rescale the chart, just let me know what scale you use (looks like 0-7500)

i'm sure this discussion has happened a thousand times, but there is a big difference in WHP numbers between an eddy current dyno and an inertia dyno.

boost is a 23psi spike that settles to 17.5psi at 6500

i'm actually trying to skip work one day and dyno the car at an inertia dyno, i'll post that when i do it.

STis only make 5 more hp than EVOs?

depending on the car, yes... we have storong evo's and weak sti's and vice-versa... if you check out our dyno chart page, you can see a lot of these...

http://www.ktrperformance.com/servic...graph_main.htm

but on average, an sti is 230ish and an evo 216ish... again, we've had some strong and weak examples of both

Looks like his dyno is reading the same as Vishnu's when you factor in the 93 east coast gas. Evo's typically pick up 7-10 whp when run with 93 octane over 91 octane gas.

Stock STI makes around 210-220 whp on Vishnu's dyno.

Stock STI making 220 whp on KTR's dyno. Looks right to me?

Brett.

Yep, that ~15whp differential is more in line with what we see here. We have seen some pretty big outlines as well. We recently dyno'd a stock STi at 230whp. And last month, we saw one that made 237whp. It really depends on which of its few ignition maps it decides to run. EVOs seem to either make the 200-210whp they are mapped for, or not due to knock retard activity. On 91, they typically knock retard themselves down to 200whp with a bit of run-to-run variance. Yes it sucks.. but our weather is better

Cheers,
shiv

PS. What made you settle on a ramp up rate of 115?
