i would stay away from the safc2...i have heard some bad things about it...search around on the forums and you can read about them..

if you are on a budget, i would go with the ECU+...its about the same price as a safc2 (a little more expensive)...but you can control timing and you get 3d maps and such...otherwise, UTEC is another good piggyback and AEM's standalone is outstanding (but around $1500-2000)...plus you will need to pay for dynotime and tuning with most of these setups

you will be fine with a MBC to start out with...i wouldnt blow all your cash on an electronic controller, as most of those engine management systems can control boost with an extra solenoid (and some on the stock solenoid i believe)...i would get the MBC first along with an exhaust and intake and then start moving towards engine management and cams and such...just my opinion

now that i see your sig, you already have quite a few mods...i would say start saving up for an EMS that is capable of controlling boost...the ECU+ cant do that YET...but UTEC i think can as well as some of the others out there...try browsing the tuning forum as well

what does anyone think about the AEM EMS? I was also checking out a Motec 800 system. pricey but a guaranteed power improvement.
