Question RRE No Name Clutch Kit

Marketing words:
"3,000 lbs clamp load, organic street disc that is easy on your driveline. Best of all, it looks stock for warranty purposes"

Link to full details:

It looks very similar to stock, but the disk has noticable differences. Anyone tried this clutch? I am looking for a replacement for the factory clutch that will last me longer and give me a more feel to engagement.

Cool, couple of questions:

How do you like it?
How does it compare to the stocker?
How many miles do you have on it?
Do you still have the clutch restrictor in?

Caymandiver, I also have this clutch in my car with a ton of mods. I make 380 on pump gas, its daily driven and I love the clutch setup. I purchased the fidanza flywheel along with the heavy duty disc and have over 4k miles on it. If you buy directly from Roadrace engineering they give you $75 off as a package.
As a comparison to stock, if u are referring to pedal "feel" its not much stiffer at all. I have always used ACT 2600's on all my DSM's and this is almost exactly the same feel, and the holding clamping force is excellent, no slips even on my AEM race gas tune when I made 440 whp. Overall for the money and quality you will not be disappointed at all, this is a great clutch setup.

Agreed. It feels like a 2600 to me. It slips nicely, but grips well when you want it to. I only have a few hundred miles on it though. I still have the restrictor in, but I have a stainless line. Drivability is similar to the sticker, but it feels much stronger.

OOps I forgot that question. I left the restrictor in and stock line too. Never noticed much of a difference in others b4.........
Instigator, is your RS without the wing? Silver? If so, wanna trade trunk lids for one with the wing and EVOLUTION VII emblem on.........HEEHEEHEE, hey u never know? Good luck with the clutch, and you are right it slips but grips when it needs to.

What is the benefit of getting the fidanza flywheel? I really am on a budget and I would like to just get the clutch

Instigator..... do you still use the factory flywheel?

It is just lighter, and therefore reduces rotational weight. If u are on a budget, it is definitely not necessary, you can very well retain the stock flywheel, just get it resurfaced, and it will work just fine. I just always go lighter, but it is not necessary.

I still have the stock flywheel. I just had it turned. I didn't have the extra money either.

Actually my car isn't a RS, it's just lighter than one. I do have a wing (see avatar), but I wish I could find a silver trunk without one.

INSTIGATOR:

How did you get your car to weigh less than a RS?

I just made sure that every mod weighed less than the stock part. I think there's a thread in "motorsports" about it. I know a few other people are close to the same weight too.
