It's in the very front of the car to the right of the radiator if your facing the engine. You can't miss it; it's a big white tank next to (on the right) your intake.

another reason to not use water in the the winter is the fact that the water can freez IE: ice and can cause the tank to crack and split. sooo yeah

There's no major reason to use the intercooler spray if the temperatore is cloose to freezing. The air will cool IC better than water. Just empty tank for winter. Or let it freeze and thaw as needed.

I used distilled water this past weekend at the track because I ran out of washer fluid. I had no problems. Obviously washer fluid is better, but distilled water is not terrible to use.

Thanks for the idea of plugging the overflow..... I might try running a longer clear tube that loops up near the top and than down to get that extra qt of water. Autocrossing drinks the water quick.

OK, what part of the plastic tank is everyone worried about getting rust on????

I use tap water / distilled water as I need. If you look at the intercooler spray and the windshield solvent jug the intercooler jug has a hole in the cap and I think that it will increase the evaporation of windshield solvent and cause a thicker mix after the alchol evaporates out leaving behind a kind of antifreeze mix. Which sounds like a mess to me. I agree with running it dry and not using it in the winter. Just make sure that your engine managment doesnt turn it on. I think the AEM turns it on when it wants not when you want. That could damage the pump. I think I might post a poll about the best fluid to use just to see...

A friend of mine from out side the US told me that the hole is there because of FIA homologation rules. They require the fluid levels to be included in determining the legality of the car in competition. The drain is there to insure that the water level is not over the allowed amount.

Sounds reasonable to me but I don't have the FIA manual to verify it.

For those who want to, you can obtain a gallon of methanol at a hobby store that sells model engine fuel without the oil.

what a strange world, here in the northwest you would be a fool to not have windshield washer FLUID (anything wet) to wash the windshield. Is the rest of the country so different?

Uhhhh, the intercooler spray is NOT where the fliud comes from to wash your windshield. The tank in trunk is used by the front and rear wiper sprayers. So, you don't have to run windshield solvent in the intercooler sprayer..... It soulds like you might be confused.
