How much did you all pay?
Yep. It's about that time again. I'm in the market for a new car and I am strongly considering two cars. The Evo and an 04 WRX. I really want the Evo but it is a little expensive for me. The WRX is more my price range. I am curious to see if any of you guys were able to talk the dealerships down on the price of your Evo. If so by how much and what did you all pay? Thanks in advance guys/girls.

Don't settle with WRX. Get the Evo. You won't be disappointed.
For pricing, you'll find a lot of info if you search at this forum. Try to settle with invoice price if possible. Any price lower than MSRP is good.
Good luck on your car hunt.

$27750 + tax and license a little over a month ago. I don't think out the door price is really relevant to this kind of discussion since costs will very state to state. The car is blue with the wing and roof.

Wow almost the same price as mine; $27,503+TAX off of EBAY. I went to Atlanta to pick it up. I saved over $5,000 off of the lowest price that I could get around here at the time. Oh and mine has CF wing and SR. This is a very popular question on this board!!!!!
How the hell did you guys get it for $27g's with both option? That's well below invoice minus their holdback, which means the dealer took a hit on loss or they got incentives from the manufacturer.
$29178 here before TT&L, both options, 15k down, $306/month

Thoe99,
You just hit them hard and you can get a good price. There are many web sites that give car buying tips. For the full story of what I did click here. I posted all the details of my purchase a few days after I made the deal. I know I work hard and I try to get a good value on what I buy. I didn't really get as good a deal when I bought my first two new cars and vowed to do better this time.
Best wishes,

Ah, you bought near September. I bought mine in June, loaded with all my papers, and back then my deal was one of the best deals to be had, after calling up almost all the dealers in Texas and Louisiana. I drove quite a ways to get mine. Amazing what 3 months later can do to a new car. Congrats on your price!

I'm looking for a black evo with wing and roof and want to pay invoice.
True invoice (point at which dealer makes absolutely no money without incentives) is:
$26891 (invoice)+ $418 (spoiler) + $653 (roof) - $604.34 (holdback based on MSRP of $30,217) = $27357.66
Many dealers won't give up their holdback (money the dealer gets for maintaining the car on the lot), but you can try negotiating some of it off.
