a friend of mine has an Sti and we are both even from a 30 mph roll and i start pulling 1/2 car length. His is stock and all i have is an HKS exhaust and Dp.

and also i dont think the R32 would pull on the evo on the highend..First of all the R32 has 240hp AWD! so maybe 200 at the wheels..the Evo in the other hand has 271hp AWD and around 240whp..there is clearly a 40hp difference..also the evo on the highend has better aerodynamics and is lighter..i really dont see how stock for stock an R32 would pull on an evo on the highend..Maybe an Rx-8 and R32 are even on the highend stock for stock..

R32 has a great advantage as you can make it FWD or AWD, immagine having teh abilty to male the Evo FWD from a roll, it would add 20WHP easilly.

The Evo has a weak topend for 1 of 2 reasons.

1. Boost tapers from 19.5PSI to 16PSI
2. The fuel map iss SO rich up top that my brand new evo has a BLACK bumper within a week.

Other reasons? The Mitsu manufacturers did a shizty job tightening the IC Clamps, mine leak and I never made more then 15PSI until Itightened them.

I raced a M5 to about 80 mph. I had a car 1/2 length at 80 mph till I shutdown. We did it twice in two long stop light stretch. I thought he couldn't launch the car. Then he yells at me if I want to race in the freeway. Of course I said no.

i dont think those numbers are accurate but heres the source

i thought the m5 had a slower 0-60 but made up for it after that and had a lower 1/4 mile.

I out launch him and that's the reason for the gain. Also the reason why I don't want to race him in the freeway.

i'd feel safer driving faster in the rain and snow though of course with the right tires.

im at around 290-300whp and i think 4th gear pulls pretty good. 5th gear its slow!!
When you say the evo feels faster around the city, are you talking about keeping your RPM up above 3k w/o upshifting? Because driving here in NYC and keeping it at 3K all the time(traffic all the time) you will kill your engine pretty quick.
