VTA blow off valves tend to screw up Evos. Unless you're running speed density, I would stick to stock, or get either the MR jdm valve or a 1G DSM valve.

I heard the metal ones were better, and I like the pssshh sound when shifting.

but if the mr bov is good , i'll keep performance.

So the new US MR's are coming over with the same as stock VIII's plastic BOV. Not the metal one that is selling so well on this site. I thought the MR's came with the same style????

you don't have to get vta in order to hear the purge sound. and you can vta on the stock valve too. wow.... how do you guys not know this? get an open element intake, basically... replace the stock intake box... you'll get all the pshh and sssss (turbo spool) you can handle (i'm running hks rs, sounds great!) if you want to run the stock mr valve vta make sure everything is nice and tight, if you lose air it's all goin' to the atmosphere after already being metered and you'll get some ****ed up bucking.

An open filter intake will amp up the psssh sound.

Beyond that, i have heard Evos to be real finicky when it comes to BOV's. Some people use 1G DSM CBV's to great sucess. Others do well the GReddy Type S. Don't VTA.

herbal77, if you want the sound w/o sacrificing too much driveability, get the WORKS/GFB dual vent valve.

the mr bov holds boost just fine..so if you want the pshh sound just get the adapter and high flow filter kit from buschur or you can even get on off ebay for like 16 bucks..then just replace the filter with a k+n later if you want..if you got another bov without getting an open intake you wouldnt hear much sound..but even the stock bov makes plenty of sound by getting rid of the stock airbox..

Yeah, only the JDM version comes with the "MR" BOV. If I were you and was going to buy a new BOV, it would be the MR BOV which I have in my car. With a K&N drop in filter you can hear the "psshhh" sound a little bit. And if you're going to get a BOV make sure its for a reason other than the noise... cause its not ment to get you laid or anything silly like that.
