at least you got a good protection package and not a cheap dealer one that cost three grand and has nothing to show for it. my 04 suburban has the protector and is great to have for the clearace the truck has.

41K? Wow! Not worth it but good luck and congra on the purchase. The resale value will take a dive like the regular EVO so plan on keeping it for a bit.

Its not always the biggest issue to simply get the best possible price, sometimes its just the car and to be one of the first to have an MR, or have an MR period is a desirable position, something which doesn't fit my personal financial situation altogether. Regardless, to the original poster congrats on an amazing car and treat it right. Also, do you plan to modify it al all, personally if I had to go back id of left my EVO totally stock, and id be even more apt to leave an MR stock.

I beg to differ. Change things that can easily be changed back. Such as: Intake, Cat Back, MBC and Dynoflash. Those things (-Dynoflash of course) are easy to remove in case of warranty issues at dealerships etc. Plus you'll still get more power out of it.

Picked up my graphite grey MR on Wednesday from Metro in Minneapolis. They didn't have a markup so it came in around $36K. They weren't too generous on the trade in though. Traded a 2003 Evo VIII (18K miles) - 21.5K!!!!!! nasty!!!

only been able to take a couple of short drives in it, but comparing the MR to the normal Evo VIII the ride is alot smoother, less road noise, cabin feels more isolated, gear box is short shift and feels very solid (and I thought the standard one was nice). going to be taking it easy for first few hundred miles to wear in but I'll let you know how it handles when I fire her up......

PS you need to be a midget to see the guage kit

Dude if you can afford it and you wanted it more power to you. You can always make more money. Congrats on the car and have fun.

ugh...another "paint protection" scam. no, not all MRs will come with this...it's a dealer add-on (mainly profit).

Ok, I don't know what everyones said about the MR but I just came from the dealer today. Upon arriving I noticed the owner standing in the garage. Me being a good acquaintance with him he calls me over and low and behold i see them cleaning a brand new 0 miles Evo MR! Its the same color as the pics posted earlier that Grey/Purple MR color. Damn, that car looks sooo sick. The owner offered me to test drive it but I had to turn him down since I was already late for work but he said he would wait for me to get off or he'll come and pick me up for lunch...in the car! since I'm just a 1 1/4 mile away from the dealership. hahaha this should be fun -=o] Anyway, I got some pics of the car with my cell phone so they aren't the best quality. I also got a picture of the window price of 35,594! I'm not sure how much everyone else has bought their car for.
