It says on the mitsubishi website that the wing is darker than the rest of the body.

I love Evo.......so much, even though I wouldn't buy one. So now there are three versions of Evo? I don't like the wing-less RS though.

btw: I'm really lookin into getting an EVO.. however, I'm wondering if I should wait until the MR's reach the lot instead of pickin up an 04. I was quoted around 30k for the GSR 04 fully loaded.. including a loyalty $500 deduction.. and a 500$ grad deduction. This includes the leather package n such. Anybody pick up an MR yet.. and how much did you pay for it?

I'm a current rsx type S owner... love the car but it's turbo time.

$30k for an MR? Maybe a regular Evo.

wow.. just drove an MR.. jeezus. my '03 was simply a beta version. the MR is so comfortable with its self-adjustable Bilstein's... soft on regular driving and then stiff when you want it to be.... it just floats over bumps like the ocean when you're cruisin'. everything about it is better: gearbox, shorter gears, turbo, engine, transmission, and everything else i can't name or don't know the name of... when you're cornering hard, its not harsh or anything... stiff, but not harsh. it just locks into position and BAM. the tires feel so soft and glued to the ground it's ridiculous. gotta trade my beta version in.

strange thought the engine was the same???!only a 5 hp difference. And the six speed tranny is the same gearboxed rowed from your year.Your *** must be a awesome dyno to notice that little hp gain. Just buy coilovers and save yourself like 10 grand!Probably what u notice is the ACD in the corners. The MR is a great buy. But the EVO 9 is just around the corner and the hope it finally comes with the ACD with AYC . That will be the Utilmate Evo.But the fact remains that the MR is the best car for the money but are you willing to take a huge loss and get a MR then get rid of the MR for possibly a EVO 9 with all the real trimmings.

I just purchased an MR today. I got a Rally Red one. The car's not in yet and the dealership can't tell me for sure when it will get here. They told me today but they also said they were supposed to be in last week. I got mine for a $1000 off MSRP

Before everyone says bull***t, I'll tell you that I bought my wife a new 04 Montero limited on thursday. I have been wanting an EVO since they came out and soon hopefully very soon, my very own EVO MR will be in my garage. Knowing my luck it will arrive next week when I am gone all week long.

I'll get some pics up as soon as I get it. I an dropping off a disposable camera for the saleman to take pics off it as it rolls off the truck if I'm gone when it gets here.

i dont know man... the transmission made a huge difference.. working with the bilsteins, different turbo and cams... i dont know man, felt unbelievably unbelievable... the whole time i was driving it with the customer's i repeated, "oh no they didn't! oh no they didn't!" after that, drove home and mine felt like the beta 5 build 433..

yeah, bilstein coil's is a must.. i cant trade mine in. don't feel like putting 7 grand down... want the vortex too, but then it looks naked without the aluminum roof... EESH.

the spool started in the high 2's, shorter gears, softer clutch and gas... very forgiving... everything, wow.

what's this about something teflon in the clutch? i felt it before i heard it and teflon sounds like a good explanation... don't know man! heh, bil coils for sure, vortex for sure...

basically, when comparing it to the boundaries of the rugged '03, the mr is as fully capable and then some, but it just isn't as rugged. softness and casualness if you will

CONTAINED.
