Project JUN Evo 8

I finally got my Evo and it is now being shipped to the Philippines for its modifications. The following is a partial list of what will be done to the car. After which will be shipped back to California straight to my home.

Model: Lancer Evolution VIII
Engine: JUN Special 4G63 2.2L stage 2 engine
Camshafts: JUN 272deg Camshafts
Valve Retainer: JUN Titanium Valve Retainers
Camgears: JUN Auto
Valve Spring: JUN Racing Valve Spring
Conrods: JUN Connecting Rods
Piston Kit: JUN 85.5 Bore Piston Kit
Crank Main Bolts: JUN Strengthened Crank Main Bolts
Turbo: HKS GT3240 Ball-Bearing Turbocharger
Intercooler: APEXi Drag Vmax Intercooler
Throttle Body: 80mm Throttle Body
Wastegate: HKS External Wastegate
BOV: HKS Sequential BOV
Engine Management: Motec M800 with data logging and advanced lambda control
Fuel Injectors: RC Engineering 1600cc Fuel Injectors
Fuel Delivery System: 2x Bosch Racing Fuel Pumps
Ignition: Custom individual ignition coils with NGK racing plugs
Exhaust System: Veilside Teardrop Titanium Exhaust System

I'm highly open to all suggestions. You may be wondering why do I need to have the car shipped back tot he Philippines when I can have it modified in the US? Its because Autoplus specialized in JUN products and in Evos. I was about to have it modified at Autoplus San Francisco excpet I learned that Rick Ku from JUN Auto Japan will be in the Philippines and will be tuning the cars at Autoplus. The car will be in the Philippines for a year or so. I want to achieve a 9 in the quartermile without the aid of nitrous.

Damn you... I'm jealous! Hey how about sending a Jun shift knob to me?? If that' s not possible a JUN crate Evo engine would be cool! Door to door shouldn't cost too much.

Nice car man! I would love to see it, pero Cali is too far from Detroit, mang!

Full testing in the Philippines, shipping, etc. It ay even take more than a year before it will be shipped back to the US. Autoplus Manila wants to perfect the car before turning it over to Autoplus San Francisco

The car may seeaction also in Detroit once everything is running good. Depends where the races would be at. The car will be carrying the Pinoy flag, therefore, we want to perfect the car before sending it back to the US. We also plan to fit in a Hollinger 6-speed Seuential transmisson.

That's too bad, your spending twice what you should have. If you took your car to David Buschur or AMS they would have you running faster for less money. Hell, you could have bought the Crower Billet 2.3L for probably the money you've spent on JUN JDM Namebranding.

And, the JUN pistons are made by COSWORTH, the HKS turbo is made by Garrett and the AEM EMS powers the three fastest imports in the entire world.

The engine will be taken out of the car and will be shipped to the JUN Machine shop in Japan. The Turbo kit, suspensions, MOTEC, and the spare Ralli-Art Group A 4G63 is in Manila already. Once the Evo arrives at the port of Manila, it will be brought straight to the shop to have the engine removed and for it to be shipped to the JUN machine shop.

Nah, i trust my fellow pinoy tuners more than anyone else in this world to tune my car. it was supposed to be done at Autoplus San Francisco but they decided to sponsor the shipping to the Philippines for the tuning. Besides, Autoplus is the only autoshop who I entrust my car to.
