With all this worrying about warantees, I have not read of any catastrophic engine failures or anything going wrong with the Evo except clutch and gear syncros which are contributed to driver abuse. If you don't abuse it, the car is solid and probably not need warantee service for the first 3 years. There is a guy here with over 50K on a stock clutch.

I heard of someone's PS pump failing and relaced under warantee even with the car modded. I'm more concerned with say the power window motor breaking or something electrical failing. And that would be covered regardless of your engine mods.

 

IN stock form, you will not be disappointed with the evo. and even with a few bolt ons, you may end up making the car slower or not gaining anytning at all.
