im a newbie when it come to gauges..i been wanting to add 3 gauges to my evo viii..im going to mount it to the A-pillar... just wondering...what gauges is everyone else using? for me... boost, oil pressure, oil temp... i don't know if thats a good combination...what you use?

 

If you were to only do 3 gauges, I'd swap the oil pressure for an EGT gauge.

 

no way. oil pressure is the first guage you should buy, then boost, then egt

isn't there a poll of this..."most important gauges" something like that? any ways i think it was unanimous that it was boost…oil…and egt…..don’t quote me though just search.

 

With the low tolerance of knock on our engines Boost is most definately the 1st gauge to buy. Even if you aren't running higher than stock boost pressure its a peace of mind item. Oil pressure comes in next. Oil temp isn't as important unless you are always running your car hard. If you have Oil Press. you will notice a change if your temp goes up too high. And finally would be EGT, another indication that will help you determine if you are running a bad A/F mixture.

If you can afford them, Defi is the shizzle.
